Abstract

Abstract. In this thesis-style article, the author examines the background of political repressions in Kazakhstan, emphasizing that the confrontation between two incompatible ideologies – Bolshevism and Alashism – during the reform of Kazakh societal life gave a specific character to political repressions. The life of wealthy landowner Hasan Akayuly serves as an example, demonstrating that political repressions became a devastating measure for Kazakh society.

The article addresses issues related to the liberation of Kazakh society from central dependence, with Alash leaders becoming victims of political repressions, the preservation of national values, and presents new scientific data based on archival documents related to Hasan Akayuly’s activities in support of the Kazakh national liberation movement in 1909. Additionally, the article reveals new facts about Hasan Akayuly’s active participation in drafting the Karkaralinsk petition. The author emphasizes that throughout his life, Hasan Akayuly considered it a vital task to show Kazakhs a new and beneficial model for managing the economy. In this article, the author plans to explore Hasan Akayuly’s activities in the context of the modern energy system.
