Abstract. The article is dedicated to the legacy of the famous master of folk crafts Aidos Muratov from the fund of the Aktobe Regional Museum of History and Local Lore and the master's innovations in the manufacture of furniture in the traditional art of the Kazakh people.
At the invitation of the famous architect T. Basenov, who built one of the first architectural buildings in the city of Almaty - the Abay Opera and Ballet Theater, A. Muratov took part in the decorative and design finishing of this building, where the master's handwriting and recognizable style gracefully fit in. In 1945, A. Muratov was awarded the Order of "Kurmet Belgisi". The life path of a man who selflessly served his country and left behind a rich legacy of his craft will undoubtedly serve as an example for future generations.
Wooden home furniture by A. Muratov is decorated with carving and embossing with plant elements and geometric figures such as "kazmoin", "tuetaban", "kuskanat", and the use of rich colors distinguishes him from other masters. The article discusses the importance of A. Muratov's use of the national carving line in creating furniture of national form and its decoration from today's point of view. The master of Kazakh folk crafts A. Muratov left a rich legacy, creating his own style of combining national furniture intended for nomadic life with a sedentary culture.
