Abstract. Today the museum education is a significant structure of the museum. Thanks to this, the structural mechanisms of the museum, exposition and excursion are implemented. Museum education combines three spheres – museology, education and psychology.
Museum education, having originated in the 19th-20th centuries as a structural department in European and American art museums, in a short time achieved the status of a scientific discipline. In international practice, systematic studies were conducted on museum pedagogy, which contributed to the formation of centers for its development. As a result, museum education has become an integral part of the museum, such as a fund, exposition and excursion.
The concept of museum education entered the space of museums in Kazakhstan during the Soviet period. Currently, domestic museums implement the educational direction of their work in the form of pedagogical and cultural-educational events.
Identification of current problems of museum education in Kazakhstan by considering the process of formation of museum pedagogy is the purpose of this article. Attention is paid to the pace of development of museum education in Kazakhstan. Educational activities of museums are aimed at educating and training the younger generation. In this context, the analysis of world experience based on the study of the period of formation of museum education is relevant.
