STUDY OF HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE GOLDEN HORDEIN THE ATYRAU REGION

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of historical and cultural monuments of the Golden Horde epoch in the Atyrau region. Today, a lot of work is being done in the country to preserve, protect, promote and study historical and cultural heritage. The primary objective is to ensure the continuity of our ancestral legacy and to safeguard our cultural identity for posterity. There are 4 historical and cultural monuments of national significance, approved by the order of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 14, 2020, were registered in Atyrau region: oil city (Ensemble and complex) built in 1943-1948, the mausoleum of Zhuban (urban planning and architecture) 1880-1898, the burial place of the poet Makhambet Utemisov 1836-1838 uprising (sacred object), and the medieval town of Saraishyk (archeology) of the XIII–XVI centuries.
The Golden Horde heritage occupies a worthy place among the historical and cultural monuments of the region. Among these are the cities of Saraishyk, Aktobe-Laeti, Ushkan and Taskeshu caravanserai, which are currently the focus of research and which have gained global recognition. These included the city of Karagaily, Ashchysai, and the Kulish caravanserai, where scientists from the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve «Saraishyk» have recently conducted archaeological excavations and conducted expeditionary surveys.
