MODERN EXHIBITIONS AT THE STATE MILITARY HISTORY MUSEUM OF THE ARMED FORCES THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

Abstract

The main goal of the article is to analyze the thematic and conceptual features of military-historical museums, which are based on the study of military history, traditions and national values. The article notes that previously there were no military-historical museums in the country and no special attention was paid to the military history of the Kazakh ethnic group. The author pays distinct attention to the direction of military history, as for the main objective in the study and construction of the museum exhibition of the military museum, focusing on the specificity of the issue.

Based on the scientific concept of the State Military History Museum, current issues of the military history of the state from ancient times to the present are considered. Using scientific sources, the author cites historical facts of the existence of ancient armies on the territory of modern Kazakhstan and the development of the military art of the Saks, Huns, Turks, Kipchaks, Mongols, and Kazakhs.

It is noted that the exhibition space of the museum in historical and chronological order represents the participation of Kazakh soldiers in military conflicts, local, First and Second World Wars. Considerable attention is paid to national liberation movements and uprisings. An extensive analysis of the thematic exhibition of the museum halls confirms the validity of the proposed topic and further research in this direction.

Materials and methods of the research. Scientific concepts, scientific and methodological materials created with the participation of the author or developed personally, as well as concepts and articles of the museum’s scientific consultants, were used as cited sources. The main ones are comparative historical, typological, thematic and chronological methods.
