Abstract

Abstract. The article discusses the historical and cultural heritage of the Aral region, including historical and archaeological sites located in the Kazaly district of the Kyzylorda region, as well as the activities of the Kazaly district museum of history and local history to preserve our cultural heritage. With the participation of this institution, the importance of the museum of history and local history in preserving monuments and research in the region of the Bronze Age "Tapa" and the medieval city of "Zhankent" was described. Although the current museum-reserve is small, it participates in scientific work and conducts research. In 2017, monuments in the district were included in the list of sacred places of Kazakhstan and the list of sacred monuments of the Syr region. It includes the cities of Zhankent, Kuik Kesken and others. 54 historical and cultural monuments were also included, and today they are declared protected zones for their preservation.

The Kazalinsky District Museum of History and Local Lore has been operating since February 2019. Today, the museum's main goal is to store the history of the region, nature, economy, archeology, architectural monuments, ethnography, historical data, poets, blacksmiths, etc. in its collections. The search for memories and monuments, the collection and study of valuable relics of historical significance is the main goal of the museum.
