Abstract

Abstract. The article is devoted to the development of museum business in Kyrgyzstan and provides an overview of museum activities in the country for the period from 2020 to August 2023. The author analyzes the impact of events of recent years, such as the pandemic, presenting the original experience of museums in Kyrgyzstan. Emphasizes that prolonged isolation without direct access to cultural values has indicated the importance of spiritual enrichment and increased the value of cultural experience. The author emphasizes the importance of personnel policy for the development of museums using the example of the National Historical Memorial Complex "Ata-Beyit". Describes the opening of the National History Museum of the Kyrgyz Republic after reconstruction, which was an important event for the museum world not only in Kyrgyzstan, but throughout Central Asia. Also considers such factors as localization and identity formation through the development of local museums. By highlighting individual factors, the author of the article focuses on those that affect the functioning and development of museum institutions in Kyrgyzstan.
