Abstract

Abstract. The article reviews here explores the various perspectives held by researchers on the concept of "museum pedagogy", its development as a scientific discipline, examples of museum pedagogical programmes and classes, and the diverse methodologies employed in working with children. Generally, museum pedagogy is a scientific discipline at the intersection of museology, pedagogy and psychology, which considers a museum as an education system.

Based on the new direction of museum pedagogy - interactive museum classes – the child's interest and inclination towards the museum increases. Its main activity is the study of cultural and educational features and history, methods of influencing visitors of various categories and the interaction of other pedagogical institutions. Museum pedagogy is designed to develop modern pedagogical forms of schoolchildren's activities in the cultural and educational environment of the museum.

The article includes classes that utilise novel techniques aimed at activating and identifying the creative abilities of the child in the museum.

Museum pedagogy as an innovative pedagogical technology that contributes to the formation of humanistic values in children, as well as a sensitive attitude to nature, the world and other people. At the same time, the pedagogical consideration of museum exhibits as facts of national culture and an instrument of spiritual education of young people, the formation of museum pedagogy in science as a special scientific direction, its theoretical and methodological foundations as the main requirement of today.
